This Countryside Chaise is made of shorea hardwood, which has the durability of teak with 30% greater density, and a natural resistance to decay and termites. The shorea hardwood construction provides weather-resistance for years of outdoor use. Harvested from protected Vietnamese plantations, the wood has a dark color that will weather to a distinguished gray over time, or it can be treated with linseed or teak oil to preserve the natural tone. All hardware is rustproof and resistance to wear.
